Professional Development

Adolescence is a time of rapid, sometimes tumultuous growth.

Changes in the mind, body, and hormones between the ages of 9 and 24 create unique and very particular needs.

Approaches that might work with younger children are not as practical when working with adolescents.  Our Professional Development services help schools and other youth-serving organizations strengthen programs, lessons, and activities to establish teen-friendly organizational cultures. Training topics are personalized to meet organizational requirements and can include any combination of the following program offerings:

  • Adolescent Developmental Needs
Supporting the physical, cognitive, and socio-emotional needs of our youth

  • Positive Youth Development
What is it, and why and how does it work?

  • Engaging Experiential Lessons
Fun and interactive activities for the academic classroom or physical education setting, as well as extracurricular clubs and group meetings

  • Group Facilitation Techniques
Effectively appealing to and actively engaging youth ages 9-24

  • Council Circles
Incorporating circle-time into your academic game plan
