Youth Council - Permaculture, Farm & Garden Workshop
Youth Council members are invited to help us plan, in a sustainable way, for the cultivation of our land and non-profit business. Students will join a team of adults to design our future farm and garden. We will learn together about ecology, how to grow food and other plants, how to raise chickens, and how to compost. We will go on trips to see and learn from similar farms - as we plan big and start small - all towards fulfilling the Youth Council’s programmatic and revenue generation goals.
Field Trips + Environmental Responsibility + Sustainable Development = Vision
Building herb planters + Compost System + Landscaping = Growth
Meets daily from 1:00pm - 5:00pm

Students will 1) use the elements of music to communicate new musical ideas and works (compose, arrange and improvise); 2) Perform music with fluency and expression (play instruments alone and with each other); 3) Respond to music as a performer and listener (analyze and evaluate music); and 4) Relate music ideas to personal meaning.
