Cypress Adventures is proud to welcome Jerod Bishop as our new Executive Director as of June 2, 2025. Jerod brings over a decade of leadership experience in education, equity, and youth development across the Southeast. A visionary and community-centered leader, he is deeply committed to empowering young people through hands-on learning, mentorship, and outdoor exploration. With a strong background in strategic partnerships and program innovation, Jerod is excited to build on the powerful foundation of Cypress Adventures that our founder Aimee Cox-King has established and lead the organization into its next chapter of impact. Aimee will remain on our Executive Team as Director of Programming.

Youth Leadership Program
Our free, after-school Youth Leadership Program provides experiences that inspire and empower middle and high school aged youth with the skills and competencies to create the future adult lives they want for themselves.
Evidence-Based Social Emotional Learning
Our Youth Leadership Program is an evidence-based Social Emotional Learning program with an emphasis on collaborative learning, problem-solving, conflict resolution, critical thinking, and communication.
Team building & Other professional development
Adults and youth alike benefit from the community building experiences we provide. From team building for area businesses to professional development for youth serving organizations and evidence-based SEL packages, our services are customized to meet your group’s unique needs.
